About
Alphonso Ford was a trailblazing American basketball player who became one of the most dominant scorers in European basketball history. Born in Greenwood, Mississippi, he starred at Mississippi Valley State University before taking his game to the world stage.
He became a legend in the Greek Basketball League and EuroLeague — winning back-to-back EuroLeague scoring titles (2001, 2002), multiple Greek League MVPs, and earning two retired jersey numbers: #9 at Papagou and #10 at Peristeri.
